Dining Room Redo.

Out with the gold, in with the new!  Thanks to our previous homeowners, our dining room was painted an awful gold color.  Hubby and I like to refer to this color as, 'mustard,' 'goldenrod,' and 'baby poop,' appropriate yes I know.  When we first moved in we decided we wouldn't paint this room right away because we probably wouldn't spend much time in there.  We usually eat in the kitchen since we can watch our favorite shows from the table. Well now that we are getting most of the rest of the house put together, we decided it was time to repaint.

We chose a neutral color since it will connect with the kitchen (which is a green) and the foyer (which is a beige).  The Hubby must know me quite well because he said neutral was a good choice since I like to change things and redecorate so often. If the walls are neutral I can redecorate without having to repaint. Smart man.

Exhibit A.
Please notice the gold color on the walls not the family attempting to get the cork off the wine with a knife, dont ask.

Exhibit B. Taping the trim off.
See the arched doorways, hoping the tape creates a nice divide between the paint colors in the other rooms.

Exhibit C.  The Details.
The tape worked, nice clean lines.

 Exhibit D.  The New Look.

Bare Wall?  I think we are going to enlarge a couple pictures from our honeymoon trip to Greece and frame them here. (Look how cute and polite Mr. Ace is, he is modeling for you.)
Bare floor space here?  Probably will fill the big ceremic potter with a blooming floor plant and hope baby dog Dexter doesnt eat it.

So there it is!  Much better.
